Kingsway Halloween 2015
Monday, November 2nd, 2015Once again local residents and children out-did themselves for the Kingsway 2015 Halloween celebrations!
Hundreds (possibly thousands) of local kids and parents were out and about in Kingsway, taking advantage of the huge number of local residents who had decorated their houses to attract little monsters and dish out sweets and goodies. The streets were swamped with youths, kids and toddlers ‘Trick or Treating’ the neighbourhood and enjoying the fabulous party atmosphere.
As has become tradition, the Kingsway Residents’ Association in full fancy dress (pictured below) - without KRA Chairman Joe Logan (who seems to have evaded my camera) - set up camp at the local centre (outside of Tesco Express) to hand out sweets and glow-sticks, and were soon inundated with vampires and ghoulies, zombies and spiders, mummies and pirates, princesses and devils, etc!
Tesco Express donated bags (and bags) of sweets to the cause and also provided great entertainment to loads of local children with “Beetlejuice” and “the caged menace”!
Local Police dropped in for a chat, reporting that Kingsway was packed full of kids and adults all joining in the celebrations in a friendly and peaceful manner.
