A Fair Day Out
The weather was dry but chilly when we braved the cold to take Phoenix to the free Victorian Fair on Kingsway today.

A selection of traditional fairground rides included a magnificent helter skelter and roundabout. Sideshow stalls included a ring toss and free food was available in the shape of candy floss and roast chestnuts. Phoenix hardly got off of the free train.

The field was packed with excited kids and overwrought parents and the local community police were circulating and chatting with everybody - as were we.

My children had a great afternoon and was just loving the free food and rides, I had very excitable children after all that sugar.
My husband and I have lived in kingsway since May and this was the first chance we have had to see other residents. I think if we can have local events taking place we will all get to know each other better and helps us as a community.
