Kingsway Village in Bloom 2013: Judging

Saturday, August 17th, 2013 by pasty53

Over the last 6 months I have worked very hard on my garden which I always enjoy, and I thought this year I would enter the Kingsway Village in Bloom, gardening competition.

I sat outside Tesco’s from 2:45 ’til 4 waiting for the judges to turn up. I asked at Tesco’s, they knew nothing about it. I asked at the hairdressers, the pub’ and I spoke to three ladies in the coffee shop to no avail.

I finally rang Clive who was most helpful, and he rang and left me a text message to say they have been!

I cannot believe that they stood outside Tesco’s and then waited in the coffee shop. The post on the 8th clearly states judging will take place outside the shopping area opposite the school not in the coffee shop.

Congrat’s to the house in Thatcham Avenue who won, which Clive informed me.

Hi All,

Thank you all for your nominations to the Residents Association Committee. Nominations closed last night and the new committee will be introduced at the AGM on the 14th November - 7pm at the School.

Those who nominated themselves will receive an email to introduce each other and to get preliminary issues sorted out.

We will be reviewing the activities of the KRA over the past year and, as always, be open to your questions, comments and requests.

Afterwards we aim to retire to the Barn Owl.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,
Barry
