Local Police Speed Checks

Thursday, February 4th, 2016

The Police are looking to conduct speed checks in Kingsway and are asking for your suggestions on locations where you believe there is a speeding problem.  They are also seeking volunteers to assist them in conducting this operation.

If you have any suggestions and/or are a volunteer to assist please let me know at kingswayRA@googlemail.com.

Also, it may still be some way off but the next KRA Public Meeting will take place on Wednesday 23 March at 7.30pm in Kingsway Community Centre. We hope to see you there.

    Hi YH,

You are quite right. There have been changes to the “official speed limit” on Thatcham over the last 12 months and I have been planning to write a post about it.

A lot of the pertinent information came from meetings of the “QUVL/Kingsway Liaison Group”, who recently gave me permission to add their meeting minutes to the site – on our Kingsway Developers page, and I only just recently managed to compile all of those documents (and will add them very soon).

Meanwhile, thanks to your question I have written it sooner than I planned 🙂

The post is here: Thatcham Avenue Speed Limit.

Is it my imagination, or did there used to be 20mph speed limit signs along Thatcham Ave, Brize Ave, etc? I can’t see them any more!
