Gloucester History Weekend (Kingsway) 14th & 15th September

Hello All,

I am Opening my house up for the Gloucester Heritage History Weekend on the 14th & 15th of September 2013.

The event is free to visit like all Gloucester History Festival venues.

We are uncertain to how many visitors will attend, however we are displaying some locally made craft items for sale. If you make craft items, models, cakes etc and wish to sell them on the weekend it is £10 for 11:00am to 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

Gloucester Heritage Weekend: 14th &15th September 2013

Hello All,

We are opening up our home as part of the Gloucester Civic Trust heritage weekend - 14th & 15th of September 2013.

The event is from 11:00am to 15:00 for the public to look around.

We would like to know if there are any Kingsway residents who would like to show and sell any arts and crafts items for this weekend.

Tables/standard gazebos are £10 for the weekend. The spaces are limited so please contact me to make payment: [email protected] you must supply your own table/gazebo and advise if you need power.

Your table/gazebo must be set up 15 minutes before 11:00am and you can start removing from 15:15

Music @ the Manor

Hello All,

I am looking to running a live music festival on the 29/09/2012 at Manor Farm.
I have applied for TEN (temporary event licence).
I have 11 bands commited at present.

If you are a Kingsway resident and want to fill any of these spots you are welcome; please advise:

1. Dancing / Clown / Magician.
2. Photo’ booth/ Photo’s onto keyrings/ Group photo’s.
3. Printing of posters.
4. In a band / Group or solo artist.
5. Want to display art.

If you think of any other items I could include or add again please advise.

The music will start at 13:00 and will finish 23:00/ 24:00 (licence depending).
Alcohol will be sold along with food as I have included these within the licence.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Kingsway Charity Ball

Hello All,

I am thinking of running a Kingsway Ball at Manor Farm (profits for Sparks charity).

Black tie event, Approx’ 500 people, hosted in a marquee, bar, disco, hog roast, beef roast, live band, live dancers.

Please let me know if you think it will work or not and reasons behind thoughts such as “good for building community spirit” or “not enough interest” etc

This is only at concept stage at the moment, if there is enough interest and it works well I will think about making it a yearly event.

Please let me know your thoughts either way (good and bad).

Grey Peacock Missing

Just a quick post to find out if anyone has seen my grey peacock around Kingsway; (female grey peacock, white underside, green neck)?

Last seen yesterday on a house roof on Lyneham Drive.

Should anyone see her, I would appriciate a sighting post, below.
