Hi Mclovin,

I agree, the recycling facilities in Gloucester are somewhat disappointing :(

Apart from the "Recycling A-Z" (above), there's also a list of what (and where) you can recycle available here, and more information at the Glos' CC website here.

Future plans for Recycling in Gloucester are available here.

As I said, it is a little disappointing, but then the whole county / country / world really needs to buy into the idea of recycling before it's too late!

What I find really exasperating are things like the huge former RAF storage buildings which are situated on the area of land allocated to the new Kingsway Business Park, which are about to be demolished to make way for new industrial units

There may be legitimate reasons for replacing them, but I haven't heard them and I can't help wondering! And - are they really building a new "through road" parallel to the old one? Please don't tell me they're going to demolish that one afterwards :?

Anyhow... rant over - lol - I agree with you, and I hope the links help.

Recycling

Is anyone aware of any plans to extend variety of items we can recycle? Having lived in Peterborough for a few years the one (and only) thing that I thought nice about the place was all the various types of recycling you could put out.

But in Kingsway/Gloucester I do think it is poor.

And that's before we even talk about the lethal flying lids when the wind picks up!

Any ideas?
