Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for joining in :)

The plans were available on the developers website (see menu / link / QUVL); not sure if they still are.

There are plans for a supermarket (last rumoured to be Sainsburys) and other shops (as well as a Pub', youth activity area, health centre etc)... These things may be delayed owing to the "slow down" in the development, but we will get them eventually.

As soon as I get some firm info' about the schedule I'll post it :)

Glad you like it here... We love it too

Hi,

I moved into Marham Drive a couple of months ago and I can't begin to tell you how happy my family and I are.

We love our new home and the customer service we have received from Bryant, from beginning to end, has been brilliant.

I don't mind the finish on the road - I'm just glad to have got rid of all the potholes etc!

Kingsway has the potential to be a fantastic village - we're looking forward to the amenities etc. that have been promised for the future....
Does anyone know exactly what has been planned? And whether these plans are still going ahead in light of the current financial situation? Is it true that there will be a supermarket on the development at some stage?

Hi Kevin,

Many thanks for joining us and commenting on this issue :)

It's great to hear that Bryant are still committed to continued customer service, particularly at a time when so many are seemingly "jumping ship"!

For the record my house is a Bryant / Taylor Wimey house and it's fabulous!

Thanks again,
Clive.

Hi all,

My name is Kevin Lomax and I am the Project manager for Bryant (Taylor Wimpey).

I would like to comment on some of the issues raised and will gladly meet with any Bryant customer who has a genuine issue, to discuss it in a professional manner.

Firstly there are no pavements on Marham drive at all, it is designed as Homezone (a planning requirement).
The same applies to the type of finish ie: tarmac/paving.
This is all agreed with the planners prior to site start and I cannot alter it.

I cannot agree with the comments regarding the cost cutting. Taylor Wimpey have continued to complete the road surface to Marham Drive when others have not.

I have no control over Thatcham Avenue roads or footpaths.

Finally I can assure you that I am committed to customer service and if anyone (Bryant customer) has genuine issues that they wish to discuss, please call me on 07816517543 Mon- Fri 8-4.30

Many Thanks,
Kevin.

Hi Folks,

Richard Read (Residents Association) went to take a look at this last night and dropped me an email which pretty-much echoed exactly what G Note has said.

Hi Claudia,

I have spoken to Bryant regarding the surfacing of the road down Marham Drive, and they have assured me that this is completely to specification. The plans at the sales office have this information on them and they were supposed to go through all of this with you when you reserved your property (When they covered things like Door colour etc).

I think the sales office them selves got confused and assumed it was embedded stones, but it was just a fancy name for black tarmac.

There is absolutley nothing that can be done about changing the tarmac, as this was always the original plan and is not a cost cutting measure.

I'm sure when thatcham avenue is completed it will all look very nice.

If you have any problems talking to Kevin (the Project Manager) or customer support (who are all VERY nice) i'm sure they can help resolve any problems you have.
