Hi grahamc,

I haven't heard back from baz_k about it yet. I think he said he was going to be busy this week, so we may have to wait a while to hear.

I agree it is getting pretty ridiculous

Did anything ever come of this?

I notice yet another sign/advertising board has fallen down on Thatcham now and it's starting to look a real mess. It's a real shame the people responsible for keeping things like that well-maintained aren't doing so :(

I spoke to george wimpey last Monday on all the issues regarding the lack og ground maintenance and they spoke to Mr Jewel, this poor condition of the area has also been made aware to the MD of George Wimpey Bristol.

George Wimpey did repiar the kerb stone on Thatcham Avenue on this week on behalf of QVLC, if anyone want Wimpey to do any work go straight to Fiona the customer Services manager and Tim the MD.

On the subject of bad parking, this weekend has seen several near misses along the two junction by Miller Homes, one of these involved kids only just being missed!

QVLC need to put back the double yellow lines that have come off before this becomes a major accident, I have also let the HSE know as I have requested these lines to go back for many months to both QVLC and George Wimpey.
They have a duty of care as they the devlopers are still responsible for our safety.
It would also be nie to know when the shops and pub will get underway and what can be done to further block the road to knowwhere over to Tuffley to stop the teenagers on the scooters.

QVLC also need to get the ohone numbers on there web site sorted as they dont work.

On a good side Wimpey have agreed to reduce the number of flag poles along Thatcham avenue, woul be good if Miller Homes did as well to cut down the noise on windy nights.

grahamc, You're welcome :)
Yep, parking continues to enrage many of us (see here for more on that subject) :(

G Note, agreed... The issue is certainly one which the developers need to address.

Baz_k, If you're actually meeting with Alistair on Monday, I'd be real interested in accompanying you (as would Shane I imagine).
For a larger list, take a look at this post and - to add something I keep getting asked about - Since we now have a postbox, is there any chance of getting a public telephone box installed somewhere? (Some folks have to walk to Tesco's in order to make a 'phone call)!

Oh - and:

Oh, Clive, forgot to mention, your much better at titles than I am
I dunno... I thought that Who stole my rudder? was pretty impressive

The problem with Marham Drive is those people that park their cars at the top of the drive literaly cannot be bothered to use their garage. Plain and simple. We've all asked them to be more considerate, you just get a mouth full back at you. I'm waiting for the developer to get back to me on this issue, as it's them who have created this problem. Personnaly a few clamps here and there at the enterance should soon sort that out!
