Residents Association Meetings 2010

Created by Clive

I attended a meeting of the RA Committee on Monday evening and one very important point was brought up:

Public Meeting Dates And Venue
1. The public meeting due on February 12th has been changed to February 26th.
2. The venue for all 2010 (public) Residents Association meetings was mistakenly reported as the Quedgeley Community Centre, when they will in fact be held at the Kingsway Comunity Centre.

In addition we discussed many plans for local events and future meetings which information will – when ready – be reported at the public meetings.

I must add that it’s very refreshing having so many committee members this year and I have very high hopes for the future of both the RA and the Kinsgway Community in 2010.

We would like to say how good the residents meeting was and how informative the speakers were.
Living in Kingsway Village from the start Dec 05 we have found it a great place to live and now we have been to a meeting it feels like there is a real community spirit building.
We would like to say to the new residents that it will get much better once your bit is finished, so hold on in there.

Very happy Residents Lyneham Drive !!

Having not been able to attend due to work commitments, I look forward to hearing/reading about it.

Will minutes of all meetings be uploaded to the website?

    Hi Border,
Thank you and I think your right, the community spirit last night was almost palpable. Everybody I spoke to was very keen and thought the new format of meeting worked. However I think next time we need to have the building open for longer as many people want to keep chatting, which was great.

    Daisily,
Yes there will be minutes from the public meetings uploaded to the website, however they will take a week or so.
We are also going to ensure publication of progress and news in the Quedgeley News and Citizen so you should get much better access to information.

    Baz,

Thank you for your time on Friday night.

I found the evening very informative and interesting and raised my burning questions (I was the lady in the bright pink coat)! At the end of the meeting I promised to consider joining the RA and if that position is still available I would like to accept.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss if you wish.

    Regards
    Claire
