Kingsway Halloween Event
Created by social secretaryOn Sunday 31st October 2010, the Residents Association committee invite all children to come and enter a competition for the best Halloween costume at the (little) park on Valley Gardens.
A prize for all who enter and an even bigger prize for 2 winners!
Photographs will be taken, so all children must be accompanied by an adult who can give consent.
Come and find us at the little park from 5pm until 7pm 
For older children, the youth pod will be open that night too, down by the school.
If you would prefer children to still have fun, but not knock on your door, please click on this link to download a police notice, and display it clearly on the night.

A little disappointed with this event. Myself and other parents thought there was going to be something on at the Park, but Nothing. Kids told to go and "Trick or Treat".
No details on time of competition, just photos taken, asked to sign for permission, let you know who wins… A lot of disappointed kids, as they thought the competition was being held that night, and there was no prize for all kids who entered.

We had planned to get Danters to include a funfair (at the big park or near to the village entrance) but couldn’t get permission from Hitchins to use the land
Everybody who asked was told that the competition was a photo competition, therefore we couldn’t judge it until all entries were in (ie: after the photographs are viewed).
There will be a prize for the winner (in fact we have been discussing adding prizes for various age groups) and sweets were available for everyone who entered.
We had a lot of very enthusiastic entrants, (so many in fact that getting all of the photographs downloaded will take a few days).
Sorry to hear you were disappointed, most of the feedback we had was very positive and we are hoping to expand the event next year (assuming we can raise the funding).

The competition winners have been announced (to the individuals) and will be published on here soon… All of the details and photos have been passed to the webmaster.
Over 150 photos were taken, so it took time to judge them all and obviously it will be time consuming to upload them onto here.
Clive will be doing his best in his spare time, so please bear with him.

Hi Folks,
Yes… Sorry for the delay but there are well over 100 photographs from 3 seperate cameras, so it’s taking a little time to amalgamate, optimise, resize and format all of the pictures… I’ll get them online as quickly as I can.
