Homebrew Wine

Created by Baz_k

I have just started venturing into the world of making my own wine and was wondering if anyone else in the Village is, or has done in the past?

I am recording (on part of my blog) my wine recipes and results.

I would be interested to hear of any other recipes that people have used that have been successful.

My main motivation is to make the most of local (and free where possible) ingredients, hence I have made elderflower (using Kingsway Elderflowers) and Blackberry (again from local hedgerows).

My final wish being to produce drinkable (and preferably nice) wine, cheaply!

We will see how it goes :)

    Hi Baz,

    What a great idea :D

An ex-colleague of mine used to make damson gin with damsons from his garden… It was awwwwwesome (hic)

    I sincerely hope you’re planning a “taster session”…

If you’re looking for an expert opinion I have 35+ years experience of wine-guzzling! (Maybe that accounts for my awful memory)

I’m up for wine tasting with Clive ;)
