It reads more like a generic response letter to me, (probably a template); or I’d have expected them to say "Kingsway" in place of one of the "your area"s!

Does that mean that as the land doesnt belong to local authority and wont belong to them for a fair while, its good to say that no post box will get planning permission for some time?

Further to my note about the lack of post boxes on the Kingsway Village I have contacted Royal Mail and after two weeks this is the response i have just had back from them …

“Thank you for contacting us about the facilities for posting mail in your area.
I have passed your enquiry to the collections manager, who is responsible for the post-boxes in your area. As soon as I receive a response, I will let you know the outcome.
Should it be found that a new post-box is warranted; we have to obtain planning permission from the local authority. Unfortunately, this can be a lengthy process, and although you may not hear from us for some time, please be assured that your enquiry is being processed. - Customer Service -Royal Mail Group plc ”

I will keep this blog updated on my progress with Royal Mail !

Thanks for the post

You’re right, it is a pain at the moment, nobbyc mentioned the same thing here.

I suppose if you’re gonna be green then email is the way but it doesn’t help for parcels!

I searched for information / plans on the subject but couldnt find any. My guess is that they will site one around the shopping centre, which - of course - isn’t there yet
