Bus Pass
Created by ClaudiaHi,
Does anyone know anything about the free 28-day buss pass?
I went to Bryant’s office and they don’t know anything, telling me to call Stagecoach.
I called Stagecoach and they don’t know anything, telling me to contact Kingsway!
I called QUVL and Andrew Hunter sent me an email with Nathan Williams’s contact details, which I have to give to Bryant office.
I went back to the office and still they don’t anything.
Anyone knows what is it going on?
Stagecoach is saying it is up to the developers, the developers are saying it is up to Stagecoach!
These are the words of Nathan Williams:
“The Mega bus passes will be made available – along with the local route 14 mini-guide timetable – to Kingsway residents as they move in to their new homes. Soon we will distribute dated Megabus passes and timetable mini guides to homes already occupied on Kingsway.”
Is it still true?
Thank you.

Hi Claudia,
You asked this before – here and – at the time (August 2008) I replied here, suggesting you contact Nathan Williams.
I can’t believe you’re still trying to get this… whoever is responsible should be shot
The original article on the developers website said:
This clearly hasn’t happened (unless someone else knows different, nobody in my area has received one)!
I rang Stagecoach Gloucester – 01452 418630 – today.
Nathan Williams direct number is 01452 418634.
Unfortunately he’s on leave today and tomorrow, but will be back on Wednesday.
(Perhaps he’s out delivering passes)
If you get any information from him, please let us know.

Hi,
Thank for your reply, but I did call him, and he said it isn’t up to him!
He asked me for the contact details of Andrew Hunter so he could call him directly.
After an hour or so, Andrew Hunter called explaining that I had to give the email he sent to me (with Nathan Williams’s contact details) to Bryant’s office, and then you know the rest… Bryant’s office doesn’t anything!
What else am I supposed to do?
Call Andrew Hunter again?
Call Nathan Williams again and be told it isn’t up to him and call whoever?
It seems nobody knows anything; keeping sending me everywhere!
Thank you.

Hi Claudia,
I can understand your frustration
I spoke to Andy Hunter (just) about this and he said that Stagecoach don’t issue them directly, it’s up to the individual developers (in your case Bryant) to issue them.
He also said that he had sent instructions to Bryant (by email) explaining how they should go about it and they had rung him back (twice) to clarify the details!
I explained the response you’d had from Bryant and – after a loud sigh – he said he would call them again to make sure their sales office personnel know the score…
So the answer for you is to contact Bryant again (give Andy time to ring them first) and see if you can find someone more knowledgeable/helpful…
Good luck with that

Ok thank you so much. I will go during the weekend (so Bryant office will have plenty time to learn)!
Andrew Hunter told me he was going to call Rachel from Bryant office, and I guess he did, because when I went to talk to Rachel last Saturday she confirmed it but still she didn’t know what to do, she actually said that maybe they are not going to do it anymore and Andrew Hunter should take it off of the web site, (but I think this is a silly idea, I don’t think it will look so professional to promise something and then take it back).
Just an advice, if Bryant office tells me they don’t know anything or to contact someone else (I won’t be surprised), what am I supposed to say?
Thank you.

Hi Claudia,
Well… Good Luck.
If they do keep giving you the runaround, I would take the name of the person you speak to, contact Andrew Hunter again (01452 723200) and tell him.

Hi
Is this a new bus service down Thatcham Avenue? If so I would be very interested in any info’. If not we had bus passes through the post in 2007 giving us 28 days free travel but did not take it up.
Regards
Tog.

I have to say thanks for all the effort given for this free bus pass issue to everyone and mainly to Nathan Williams, who has been very kind and patient.
I just want to make the point I didn’t asked to be given the 28-day tickets directly from Stagecoach, I understand they can’t issue tickets to everyone who claims to have bought a house in Kingsway. I am just someone who wanted to take what has been offered, then if it has been lack of communication, disinterest or misunderstanding with/of the developers, it is not my responsibility or fault.
Thank you again.
So whoever wants the buss pass please go to your developer, they should know what to do by now
I hope…
… is it right?

Hi Tog,
I don’t know about the buses… Thatcham Avenue is destined to be part of their main route through Kingsway, but I’ve no idea when they plan to start.
Hi Claudia,
Glad to hear you have it sorted.
Yes indeed… It’s up to the individual developers to sort this out.
