Builders Hours
Created by ThatchamI just wanted to remind everyone that building is restricted here to:
8:00am – 7:30pm Monday to Friday & 8:00am – 12:00pm on Saturdays
The builders lost an appeal for permission to start work at 7:30am, but this has not stopped some off them!
GCC planning have been brilliant on enforcement with two of them, but recently one builder on Thatcham (just after Miller Homes) seems to think these rules are not for them.
If you see them on site before 8:00am, let GCC planning enforcement know and they will sort it.
Lorries they are not allowed on site before 8:00am and must use Naas Lane.
As the builders don’t finish anything, let’s at least keep the morning quiet until 8:00am and no Sunday working!

Holbeach Drive, 6 sometimes 7 sometimes 8 and even 10+ builders vans, trucks, pickups etc all parked around the nigh left hander and in front of peoples drive, clearly braking planning regs of “no parking of construction vehicles on any road where access is required to allready purchased homes” Told Planning but not intrested. ideas

Who did you talk to at Planning enforcement? It’s a condition for them to park in areas agreed with The Council and it can be enforced.
QUVL can also sort this now Mr Jewel has (finally) appeared.
Andy Birchley is the case officer on here, there is also a phone number to get them clamped on most of the lamp posts. Last time I spoke to Andy Hunter he stated he had given permission for the clampers to clamp cars and vans causing an obstruction.
I would have a word with the Site Manager, if that fails ring their main office and speak to the Construction Manager.

I see this is still a problem – Lioncourt homes have had people working both last Sunday and today after 12. I have reported it to The Council and will be interested to see if anything is done.
