Kingsway Residents’ Association is running a gardening competition over the summer months. This free to enter competition has a host of top prizes and is open to all Kingsway residents with or without green fingers! All you need to do is download your entry form, drop it in the box in Badham Pharmacy… and start gardening. The competition runs until 19 August when the prizes will be presented at the Village Centre.

Judging will take place over the weekend of 18/19 August
The presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday 19 August on the grassed area outside Tesco at the Kingsway Village Centre at 3pm

Afternoon Fellow Residents!
With just four more weeks in-which to get your completed Entry Forms in via the post box inside Badhams Pharmacy within the parade alongside the Barn Owl – it was nice viewing many residents gardens whilst distributing the flyers around the development recently. I pointed-out a really nice garden design via swirling coloured stones with inset lighting within, and on their steps leading-up to their front entrance – very nice indeed!
The prizes are impressive (check-out the list via the link Clive has arranged) those businesses/developers on-site have certainly stepped-up-to-the-mark. All we need is for us to do the same!
I have involved myself with litter picking in our street (gained more green recycling bins for storing the extras which goes where needed now instead which is a good thing!) so it offers a more welcoming invitation to ourselves as much as our visitors. Hopefully, others may consider this a positive way forward for their streets too and the clean-up expands so it helps us all feel better with our village.

The prize giving for the ‘Kingsway a village in bloom!’ gardening competition will take place on the grassed area outside Tesco Metro in the Village Centre on Sunday 19 August at 3pm.
We hope to see as many of you as possible to support this event.
