Quedgeley Community Police

Created by Clive

I had a visit from the local Police today (that’ll get the neighbours gossiping)

They called to tell me about the new Quedgeley Community SCT Police Website which has recently been launched.

Fraser Mackie has kindly agreed to furnish us with future copies of the monthly Police Crime Reports for Kingsway, which will give us some insight into local crime and ASB statistics on an ongoing basis (which should help to dispel unsettling rumours in the future). These figures are reported to the Quedgeley Parish Council on a monthly basis and those relating to Kingsway will – in future – be published here.
You can see an example of the latest statistics by visiting the Quedgeley Community SCT Police Website and clicking the link near the top of the page (“Performance Stats Quedgeley”).

Fraser told me that – comparing statistics with the size of the local population – crime figures for Kingsway Village are below average for the area; which means that levels of crimes in Kingsway Village are lower than in Quedgeley / Hardwicke… and that’s official!

Finally – There will be another meeting of the Gloucester South Police Safer Community Team in mid-May, so please remember to use my Community Police Report Form to keep us aware of all local incidents and to allow us to allocate local Police resources effectively…
(if it isn’t reported, it isn’t counted… but before that becomes fuel for further speculation, bear in mind that it works the same for all areas)!

For more details, please review my previous article on the subject.
