Kingsway Halloween Event

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010 by social secretary

On Sunday 31st October 2010, the Residents Association committee invite all children to come and enter a competition for the best Halloween costume at the (little) park on Valley Gardens.

A prize for all who enter and an even bigger prize for 2 winners!

Photographs will be taken, so all children must be accompanied by an adult who can give consent.

Come and find us at the little park from 5pm until 7pm :)

For older children, the youth pod will be open that night too, down by the school.

If you would prefer children to still have fun, but not knock on your door, please click on this link to download a police notice, and display it clearly on the night.

Play Rangers

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 by social secretary

Hi Everyone,

I’ve had this information from the ‘Play Rangers’ team (they came to the Big Lunch with games and crafts for the children). It is in Tewkesbury, which is a shame, but for those of you who are happy to venture out in the half term, it may well suits your needs – and it’s free (again)!

You are warmly invited to attend our exciting Play Ranger Showcase event during the forthcoming October half term.

Play at The Park – a free, outdoor family play day featuring Play Gloucestershire’s Play Rangers – is on Thursday 28th October between 11am and 3pm at The Vineyards Playing Fields, Tewkesbury GL20 5PG (behind the Abbey).

You will be able to see our Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury Play Ranger Teams in action and take part in outdoor play, sports, arts and crafts, cooking on fires, den building and much, much more.

The response to our countywide Big Lottery Fund funded Play Ranger programme has been overwhelming with over 26,000 play visits now recorded. Please come and see why our unique brand of free, active outdoor play is so popular!

Warm outdoor clothes and waterproofs are advisable. Light refreshments will be served all day. Please invite your family and friends to come along with you. Of course, children are particularly welcome!

I really hope you can join us for this exciting event.

Unclaimed Raffle Prize

Thursday, July 29th, 2010 by social secretary

I wonder if anyone can help?

Since The Big Lunch on the July 18th, I have been trying to contact a raffle winner.
I have a prize sat here waiting for this person to claim.
I have tried to ring the number on the ticket on several occasions but I never get through, just a dead line.
The ticket number is 59 (so it would have been bought earlier on in the day) and the name on the ticket is Katie.
Please make contact via this website to claim the prize.
If it is not claimed by Thursday 19th August, it will be re-raffled at the open meeting on Fri 20th.

Thanks,
Social Secretary

A date for your diaries… Sunday 18th July 2010, 12pm

Bring a picnic (and a teddy!) to the big park to have fun with your family, friends, neighbours and fellow villagers.

Watch this space for more information about events, organised by the Residents Association Social Committee, that will be happening on the day.

If anyone is able to help (time, ideas, financial donations, prizes, etc), please post a comment on this blog.

The Residents Association looks forward to enjoying the day with you :D
