Frank Butcher Cars?

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 by lja

I see another used car has turned up for sale, just off the Woodvale roundabout.

When we asked for another roundabout feature, I didn’t expect a different car every four weeks.

I haven’t checked personally whether it is the same telephone number as the last 6 cars that have been up for sale there in the past twelve months. I wonder if someone else knows?

Are they taxed? Insured? Is the owner aware that he is only legally allowed to sell two cars per year from the same stretch of road?

Now I’m all for making a bit of profit in this world, as long as it is done legally.
How about Mr Butcher applies for some land on the Kingsway site and sets up a dealership? That way he gives something back to the estate in way of revenue from rates, etc… and residents can be assured that they are getting a quality, roadworthy, legal vehicle, from a quality establishment.

Big Park – Dog Mess

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 by lja

At the beginning of last week, I took our new dog for her first walk.
Where better, I thought, than the large park. We hadn’t been over there for three years!

Unfortunately, we were greeted to a substantial amount of dog s*** (apologies for the swearing but it really gets on my nerves). Large piles of the stuff that you’d think came from a dinosaur, not a dog; and one pile not 2 yards from a dog bin!

Later on in the week we were over at the park again and I saw the monster/culprit/dog in question. I’m no excrement expert, but you only had to look at the colour and size, it was the same. The owner, quite a young lad, looked around aimlessly whilst it was doing it’s business, then walked off. No thought whatsoever to picking it up.

In passing, I questioned whether he was going to pick it up or has he trained his dog to do it? He mumbled something about not having any bags etc… to which I offered him one. He walked off in silence!

Now whilst I commend this person for being a responsible owner, having seen him in all weather walking a dog of that size twice a day, he undoes all his good work by refusing to pick up what his dog leaves behind!

Any Dog Wardens around?
How about a PCSO? (Not seen one of those for ages)!
No, I thought not.

As with the rest of this place, life goes on…

Twist your ankle on the raised manholes, walk around the dog c**p not through it, park wherever you like…

Rant Over.

Lost Kitten – Grey Tabby

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009 by lja

Can you all please be on the look out for our lost kitten.

She is a grey tabby – less than a year old – and has just been spayed, so she has a shaved area above her rear leg.

She is micro-chipped but unfortunately she caught her collar on the gate as she left the garden and this is her first visit outside!

We have 3 children who are really upset.

If anyone sees her please ring/text 07837 418040

Thanks.
