Small Dark Grey Terrier Dog Found

Monday, November 4th, 2013 by blastu2

Afternoon All,

Earlier this afternoon whilst walking our own dogs, we were approached by a lady who was both walking her own dog, and carrying a small dark grey terrier in her arms.

The dog was very well behaved, clearly looked after, and wearing a black studded collar. The lady had found the dog simply walking around the area we were all in at that time (the green space opposite 60 Thatcham Avenue – reaching far back).

I advised the lady to post comment on the blog relating to her finding the dog so she could gain best courage of the wider community in hope to find it’s owner.

Water Pressure Drop

Monday, October 7th, 2013 by blastu2

Afternoon All,

Earlier today I noticed that the water pressure had dropped dramatically, so I contacted Severn Trent Water and they advised me that the workmen on-site had hit the mains supply and burst the pipe!

So far the streets reportedly affected are: Mona avenue, Linton Avenue, Goose Bay Drive, Sealand Way, Valley Gardens… See here for more information.

They are hopeful that normal supply can be restored today.

All areas of discussion are open for debate where many questions have been asked previously which have remained outstanding of positive attention – GCC want to learn, and provide direction or possible answers to your questions. Refreshments/Biscuits supplied too!

The meeting is in the existing Community Centre on Naas Lane (formally used by KRA for public meetings) on: 22nd June’ 13, between: 10:30am – 1:30pm – everyone is welcome in order that they can obtain as much information from our community as possible.

Steve

Airline Compensation

Monday, February 4th, 2013 by blastu2

Evening All,

I noted on the early morning Sky News last week that a new ruling had come into immediate effect as of that day relating to anyone within the past 7 years who can make a claim against their selected Airline used for travel, and endured three hours or more delay for their flight which was purely resulting from the company’s failure rather than weather conditions or you yourself were late for travel. The longer you were delayed beyond the three hours – more compensation will be paid to you. You are NOT expected to have kept your boarding passes – just prove your purchase/travel with the airline (credit/debit card receipt) or written complaint made at that time.

I just received my compensation without any challenges or delay from: Air Transat/ Canadian Affair after being delayed for more than thirty hours two years ago, and regardless of being provided with a hotel for overnight stay at the airport. I received the maximum amount payable of six hundred euro’s – £512.00!

Make your claim too if you were delayed more than three hours people!

Kingsway Litter Pick Day

Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 by blastu2

Morning All,

The Kingsway Residents Association have gained agreement via Gloucester City Council for use of Litter Pick Equipment.

We intend to arrange a Litter Pick Day soon, and with that in-mind we would ask those in our community interested in joining committee members in collecting litter from our streets to respond herein please.

Once we have an idea of numbers interested in cleaning-up our streets – this will allow The Council to provide appropriate equipment for our use.
