Road and Pavement Surfacing

Monday, July 9th, 2012 by barker77

All,

Here is a bit of an update with regards to Road and pavement surfacing from QUVL:

  • Tuesday 10 July – Carriageway Surfacing between Brize Avenue and Ruscoe Way
  • Wednesday 11 July  – Footway surfacing
  • Thursday and Friday – Carriageway surfacing between School and Brize Avneue, along with Ruscoe Way.

QUVL have requested that cars are not parked in the road on these days.

There is one vehicle – Blue BMW reg N316 MHR which is proving difficult to locate the owner. Should it remain in the way, we will have to ask The Police if they can help.

Thanks for your co-operation.

BT Infinity in Kingsway

BT Infinity

Hi All,

Sorry for the slight duplication to the Virgin/Infinity thread, but I wanted to seperate this one out.

Having spoken to BT it seems that some cabinets within Kingsway were deemed not to be financially viable to upgrade to Infinity. This appears to be due to the fact that hardly any houses were connected to them at the time. This of course has changed now, with a large proportion of the estate now built. To try and get BT to move and upgrade these we need people to register to prove that interest is high.

There is no commitment to buy, just that you might be interested.

If you are interested then please visit this link and input your details, (forwards to BT Openreach site).

As a Residents Association, we are hoping to push BT into investigating upgrading these cabinets ASAP.

Thanks,
Paul

Have your say : Recycling in Gloucester

Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 by barker77

Taken from the Gloucester Council Website:

“We are currently asking residents and businesses in Gloucester about what they think about the waste and recycling service they receive. This includes your fortnightly black bin collection, your weekly recycling collection as well as other “away from home” recycling services. This is something that affects us all, so have your say and influence a key service for the City.”

Local Bands Needed

Queens Jubilee Event 3rd June

Hi All,

The Residents Association is holding a Queens Jubilee Celebration on the 3rd June in the park land near Manor Farm.

Music is going to be central to this year’s event and as such we would like to include as many local bands as possible.

Unfortunately we are unable to pay any bands who play, however we will supply lunch and it’s some great exposure.

This is being made possible by Gloucester College so a big thanks to them.

If you are interested in playing then please contact paul@kingsway-villagers.co.uk

More information regarding the event, times etc will be posted shortly.

Also if you are interested in volunteering to help out on the day, we require people to help set up the area and also clear up afterwards. Please email the above address should you wish to help.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
