Catering Van

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 by Wayne

Good Afternoon.

I very much believe in approaching certain issues via the people who count and would either gain or lose from such a proposal.

My name is Wayne McCormick and I live in Hardwicke, extremely happy to provide my full address and telephone should anyone require.

At present in Kingsway there are no food outlets for takeway, my proposal to the residents would be a catering vehicle offering fast foods such as burgers, kebabs, chips and soft drinks.

The position I would like to site this would be the right-hand exit off the roundabout once you come off the dual carriageway in the dead-end blocked road leading to Naas lane. I suggest here as I would visually be out of any residents way and the vehicle would cause no disruption to commuters or residents.

Please could you respond with your comments and thoughts regarding my proposal.

Kindest Regards,
Wayne McCormick

I am more than happy to provide references.

Many thanks,

Youths Start Fire at 6am

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011 by Hilspills

Whilst out walking my dogs this morning in the big field next to the farmhouse, 3 youths approx 18-20 yrs old appeared from the path between the orchard and the moat, and then walked down the track a couple of metres and started a fire! The 3 chaps then walked off from the way they came.

I jogged back across the field to try and catch up with them and to maybe attempt to stamp the fire out. By the time I got there the flames were 4ft high and a large sleeper-like piece of wood was on fire.

The fire brigade were called, and arrived shortly to extinguish the fire.

I assume that they used petrol or similiar to get the wood to burn so quickly.

I wonder if these group of lads had been out all night as not many youths I know would be up at 6am in the morning.

Did anyone else see these 3 lads walking around this morning?

What will they set fire to next?

Local Centre – Opening and Updates

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 by Barry Kirby

As many of you may have seen, Tesco in the local centre is opening this week on the 26th. I hope this is the beginning of more community oriented things to come.

Badhams Chemist is moving in on the 30th, and there is also a Coffee Shop, a Vets and a Hairdressers. Peter Badham and potentially some of the other tenants will be coming to the Residents Meeting tomorrow night to address any questions.

If you have any questions, but can’t make the meeting, then email me at barry@barrykirby.co.uk, and I will do my best to get an answer.

Cheers

Barry

Paving Slabs Wanted

Sunday, August 21st, 2011 by MS PC Repairs

Please has anyone got any spare paving slabs that they want to get rid of or sell?

The slabs we are looking for are the sandy coloured ones used all over Kingsway. They measure 60cm x 60cm.

We have looked in various garden centres but can’t find the same type to match our existing slabs.

We are hoping to extend our patio but don’t want mis-matched slabs.

Please if you can help post on here or please contact on

Hi,

My 13 year old step daughter just came to live with us, and amongst having to find a new house and a good school for her, she could do with meeting some girls her own age.
Anyone have children the same age? Or can suggest things she can do up this way to meet new friends.

I would be happy to hear from you by email

Thanks x
