Lighting and Bus Shelters

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 by Charlongo

I moved to Kingsway in August and have not managed to get hold of anyone at all to help me with any queries.  I have emailed Quedgeley Urban Village three times and have had no reply and I can’t get hold of anyone on the telephone.

I want to speak to someone about the fact that half of the lights down the split pedestrian/cycle path that runs down by the play area off Woodvale don’t work, and if – and when – they’re going to be fixed.
I walk down there every evening and it’s very dark. One night I nearly got hit by a cyclist (I was in on the pedestrian side and so was he, big suprise)!

Also are there any plans to put up bus shelters on Woodvale? It’s very bleak waiting there every morning in the wind and rain.

Can anyone help me?

Kingsway Christmas Event – 2010

Friday, November 26th, 2010 by HannahMonty

Following the suggestion from a few residents within the community, Lioncourt, Miller Homes, Barrat Homes, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey are funding a Community Christmas Event as a Christmas get together, on 9th December from 5.30-7pm at Kingsway Consortium, off the A38 on the greenery to the side of the entrance (it will be signposted on the evening).

The event is open to the entire Kingsway Community, and there will be entertainment (at the time of writing, they are just waiting for confirmation from both a youth brass band and a choir).

Kingsway Christmas Event

HannahMonty (event organiser) said:
"People needn’t pre-book but should just be aware of the time and event and show up when best suits them between 5.30-7pm"
and…
"No admission charge but there will be Santa giving out gifts to the little ones (complimentary of course!)"

Two Cats Lost

Friday, November 26th, 2010 by Den

Hello,

I have just moved to Thatcham Avenue.

My two cats were let out of the house in the early hours of 25/11/2010 and I haven’t seen them since, despite walking around the area and calling them.
They are both micro-chipped and I have alerted Petlog and the local vet’s at Quedgeley that they are missing.

My cats are very special to me, they are family and I am very distraught. They have never had to fend for themselves and I am worried about the cold weather.

I’ve included pictures of them here…

The cats are both the same: On the top half they are black and from below their eyes, their chest, legs and underneath are white.

Please if you see them, could you let me know, they must be very scared.

My mobile is 07814903135

Thank You,
Denise
