Bus Pass

Monday, June 29th, 2009 by Claudia

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the free 28-day buss pass?

I went to Bryant’s office and they don’t know anything, telling me to call Stagecoach.

I called Stagecoach and they don’t know anything, telling me to contact Kingsway!

I called QUVL and Andrew Hunter sent me an email with Nathan Williams’s contact details, which I have to give to Bryant office.

I went back to the office and still they don’t anything.

Anyone knows what is it going on?

Stagecoach is saying it is up to the developers, the developers are saying it is up to Stagecoach!

These are the words of Nathan Williams:

“The Mega bus passes will be made available – along with the local route 14 mini-guide timetable – to Kingsway residents as they move in to their new homes. Soon we will distribute dated Megabus passes and timetable mini guides to homes already occupied on Kingsway.”

Is it still true?

Thank you.

Moped Menace

Saturday, June 27th, 2009 by Clive

There have been numerous reports of local residents riding mopeds on Kingsway in a dangerous manner. I myself witnessed 3 youths on one moped (with no crash helmets), speeding along Thatcham Avenue recently.

Quedgeley Community Police (Gloucester South SCT) have asked me to bring this issue to your attention by publishing the following:

We’ve had a few reports recently of mopeds being riden around Kingsway estate, with little or no consideration to anyone else in the area.
However, we are a bit short of information as to who might be doing this.

The Police are looking for information as to what bikes are being riden anti-socially, with a view to speaking to the rider(s) and enforcing any relevant piece of road legislation where necessary.

Info’ that I would require is: Time, date, which road, what the registration number is, and a quick description of why it was dangerous/careless/anti-social.

You can contact the local Police by ringing 0845 0901234 and asking for the Quedgeley Police Station.
Alternatively – for incidents of dangerous driving / riding without crash helmets etc – you should dial 999.

Dumping Refuse

Saturday, June 27th, 2009 by Claudia

Yesterday I went to Tesco. As I was walking on Valley Gardens just before the bollard, I noticed a long piece of timber next to a bin on the side of the road.

On the way back I saw a guy with a small dog and his girlfriend / wife / friend with a pushchair. The guy took this wooden timber and threw it into the pond area (not in the actual pond but just after the gates) in Valley Gardens (where the bus stop is).

I am really disgusted. Why would a grown man would do something like that?
I am sure he lives there…

I hope someone will dump refuse in his garden!

Kingsway Youth Group

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 by MU32U

We are a small local Christian community (MU32U) who come into Kingsway School each Wednesday to run the school assembly.

We are considering starting a youth group, particularly for the children who will be leaving the school this year. The only way we can run such a group is if we have enough volunteers to support us in supervising the children. If your child is interested please could you email us at mu32u@btinternet.com

You can check out our website to see who we are and what other activities we run in the Quedgeley/Kingsway area.

Leader (MU32U)
