Community Police Neighbourhood Panel
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008As mentioned in this post I have become the local (Kingsway) representative on the Community Police Neighbourhood Panel.
The panel has been set up in accordance with a recent Government initiative to enhance neighbourhood policing by allowing the Safer Community Teams to engage with communities, through meetings and contact points; giving the team an insight into the local community’s crime and disorder concerns.
The panel is made up of local people who will identify (through engagement with the community, and analysis of those concerns) and help to establish priorities for policing in the Safer Community Team’s area.
Our first meeting was held on 13th August and all comunity members agreed that priorities should include speeding, dogs and issues with mopeds (and go-karts).
What to do about local crime and disorder issues:
To assist me to bring local issues to the attention of the Safer Community Team, please report on on local problems and issues using this form.
To report issues and problems with dogs in the community, please email: Helen.Devlin@gloucestershire.police.uk
More information is available at the Gloucestershire Constabulary - Quedgeley Community Page.
